Volunteering NewsThe garden has had a number of volunteers on placements from an organisation called Action 4 employment. A4e receive clients through the job centre and then put them through a programme where they do intensive job search, and are given an opportunity to go on a work placement to a charitable organisation. Our volunteers work at the garden 3 or 4 days a week, and some of them will stay at the garden for up to 6 months. During the last 4 months they have been working very hard, and have given the garden some much needed attention. All of the volunteers have said how much they enjoy working in the garden, and being part of a team. Some of them are still coming back to volunteer after their placements are finished. We would like to thank all our volunteers for all their hard work so far this year. If you would like more information about volunteering at the garden, contact Kate Dickinson at: kate @sncg.org.uk Volunteer Focus Days
